Aroma Lamp (burner): An aroma lamp uses a ‘tea light’ candle to heat a small bowl containing water and essential oils. Simply fill your bowl with water, add 5-10 drops of essential oil, and light the candle. As the fluid warms aroma diffuses into the air. The small candle provides a little ‘atmosphere’, and the aroma that diffuses into the air is wonderful. The simmering of essential oils for mood enhancement, healing, and rejuvenation dates back thousands of years.

Electric Diffuser: the electric diffuser uses a small fan (very quiet) to circulate the aroma from the essential oils. The electric option is a good one if you are using those essential oils that are used to encourage sleep, and are ideal for office use.

Candles: light a candle and wait until wax begins to melt, then add 2-5 drops of essential oil to the warm wax. Essential oils are flammable so be careful not to get the oil on the wick. This method is generally effective, but does not always provide the high quality aroma that an aroma lamp or diffuser will provide.

Bath: add 10-15 drops of essential oil into your bath water. For those who take baths, this method is very popular. You’ll receive the benefits of your essential oils via the nose and the skin. Can also be used in the Jacuzzi/Hot Tub.

Body Massage Oil or Lotion: we offer a variety of pure essential oils blended with carrier oils to make some great body massage blends. When used this way, the oils are absorbed through the skin. You can create a relaxing massage blend, energizing blend, sensual blend, or muscle therapy blend simply by adding the proper essential oil to your carrier oil.

As a Perfume: essential oils have been used as perfumes for thousand of years, and many are still active ingredients in today’s perfumes and colognes. The naturally amazing odor of Jasmine is good example and definitely one to try. Unlike perfumes which often contain chemicals, alcohol, etc., an essential oil such as Jasmine used as a perfume will not only make you smell beautiful, you will also receive the benefits of the essential oil. Most essential oils should be diluted before applying directly to the skin.

Personal Mist: add about 15-30 drops of essential oil to a 2 oz misting bottle filled with water. Shake thoroughly and its ready to use. Spray around the house, or for those essential oils with sensual or aphrodisiac properties, you can spray in the bedroom and on your bedding. –

Shampoo/Conditioner: use essential oils to strengthen your hair follicles and improve your hair. Add about 10-15 drops of essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner (per 4 ounces) bottle. Rosemary and Tea Tree are particularly good oils for your hair.

Facial Scrub: if you use a scrub add about 5-15 drops of essential oil to your product (depending on the jar size and the oil you are adding), mix it well and exfoliate.

Facial/Body Cream: help your skin by enhancing your favorite facial or body cream/lotion with essential oils. Add 5-8 drops to 1 ounce of cream, mix well and apply as usual. Essential oils do not mix well with creams/lotions that contain mineral oil.

Sport/Muscle Rub: add 20-30 drops of essential oil to 1 ounce of carrier oil such as hazelnut or sweet almond and gently massage into the sore muscles/area. Peppermint is particularly good for sports/muscle rubs.

Foot Soak: if you like to soak your feet after a hard day, try adding 10-15 drops of essential oil.

Linens: you can apply essential oil on your sheets, pillows, or even a handkerchief and the aroma will slowly diffuse.
